Counseling Graduate Program Admission Process  

 
We are currently accepting applications for Spring and Fall 2010 admission. To apply, send us the information listed below.Applicants who are being considered for admission will be contacted to arrange an interview. We will not arrange an interview or consider you for admission before all components of the application have been received.  
  
1. Graduate Application Form: Click here to fill out the  online graduate application. If you prefer to fill out a paper copy, you may download it by clicking  here.  

2. Application Fee: A non-refundable $50 application fee must be submitted by check before the application is evaluated by the admissions committee. 

3. Official Transcripts: Submit an official transcript from all universities and colleges previously attended

4. GRE scores: Have a copy of your GRE General Test Scores send directly from ETS. For more information about how to register for the GRE, click here. To order additional score reports from ETS, click here.

5. References: Have 3 individuals who know you well and who are able to comment on your academic and interpersonal skills submit letters of recommendation.  Click here to download the reference form.  Letters should be sent directly to the counseling program by the person writing the letter.

6.Statement of Purpose: The Graduate Psychology and Counseling Admissions Committee wants to know (1) how the university can assist your personal and career goals, (2) why you are seeking a graduate psychology/counseling degree, and (3) what you expect to receive from the program.

7. On-Campus Interview: After all application documents are received and academic requirements are met, the program director and academic committee will ask you to come on campus for an interview.

After admission has been confirmed, graduate students are required to submit additional documentation. 

1. FERPA: To ensure your privacy, the government requires all students to complete the FERPA form. (Download form here)  Send the FERPA form to the Graduate Counseling office at the address listed above.

2. Health Form:The federal government requires all students entering into a university to submit a health form for MMR and TB. Please complete the form with your physician and return it to the Health Center.  Click here to download the form. To protect the confidentiality of your medical information, please send all health materials directly to the health center at the address listed below:
